✔️ I have a PhD in Trichology, which is the scientific study of hair and scalp disorders
✔️ I’ve owned my salon and Trichology Clinic, Mahogany Hair Revolution, in Los Angeles for 14 years
✔️ Governor Jerry Brown appointed me to the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology in 2013. I served as President of the Board for 3 years and as an active member until 2021.
✔️ I’ve worked as a consultant and educator for several product brands including: Shea Moisture, Eden Bodyworks, Carol’s Daughter, Curls, African Pride & more.
✔️ I developed Beauty by Dr°K hair care products to help maintain healthy natural hair.Â
✔️ I transitioned from hair stylist to beauty executive and now serve as the Senior Director of Hair Science and Education for Cécred
